HISTOLOGY STUDIES
The histologic images below (10x magnification) are from scar biopsies of a single patient 14 weeks after abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). One half of the abdominal scar was treated with InviCible, the other half with petroleum gel. The patient started both treatments 2 weeks after the surgery and applied them three times a day for 12 weeks.
InviCible Petroleum
The side treated with petroleum gel (right) showed significant epidermal thickening with parakeratosis, inflammation and increased production of abnormal collagen. The side treated with InviCible (left) showed a thin epidermal layer with delicate rete ridges, limited inflammation and collagen architecture closer to that of normal skin. There was no evidence of silicone deposition in the skin treated with InviCible.
RIPT STUDIES
Repeat Insult Patch Testing (RIPT) by independent laboratories showed a 0% adverse reaction rate with repeat topical application of InviCible.
